A Little Bit of Sparkle!

I knew as soon as I picked this photo to scrap that I wanted a really fun and girly layout to go with it. What better way to do this then with fun colors and sparkle! Right off I thought of the 3-D stickers from 3birds. I love the dimension and all of the details that these stickers have to offer and of course the beautiful sparkle! I only needed a few embellies to make this whole layout pop, and just adore the way it turned out!

Scrapping With Your Scraps

We all have them. You know those bits and pieces of patterned paper that are leftovers from other projects. What do you do with them? Do you toss them or save them? I suggest you save them and then gather a bunch of them together to create a fun and colorful layout using your scrap leftovers.

Take a look at this project. I used a bunch of different patterned papers from Focus On Photos Scrapbook Kit. The colors of the different papers are all complimentary in nature so they work together well. It didn't take a lot of time and effort to grab the scraps and I was quickly on my way creating a fun layout! To bring attention back to the photo I used a circle shape from the Cardstock Flocked Sticker Nestables Kit. So many cute and fun choices in the kit and I love the texture!

I had a title from the Play On Words pack that worked for this project and finished it all off with layered paper flowers from the Pretty Petals Paper Flower Kit. So fun and easy!

Fun Project!

With all of the days spent indoors between cold weather and snow, both me and my daughter always have a stack of books nearby. There's nothing better then a good book on a cold winter's day/night. My daughter is constantly looking for something to mark her pages with so I got the idea to make her a bookmark today. And of course I used 3birds products to make it! To make it cute and girly I pulled out my cricut cartridge Straight from the Nest and choose a cute icecream cone design & then worked around that. She loves the way it turned out and I might just have to make one for myself now! I'd love to see any you decide to make as well.

And To All A Good Night

Happy New Year faithful blog readers! Isn't the new year so much fun? Full of possibilities and promise! And of course fun and cute holiday photos to scrap.

I'll admit my daughter was a bit embarrassed when she saw this project but it is such a fun photo and the Opposites Attract kit is so perfect that I just had to scrap it!

Along with the Opposites Attract kit I used some of my favorite fabric flowers from the Garden of Flowers 8 Pack Fabric and Felt Kit. The diversity of colors and shapes makes it so you have a ton of options to mix and match with! I can never tire of using them and the variety...oh the variety!

Happy 2011!

Hi everyone! Did you miss us? We took a little blog break for the holidays, but we're back now with some 3Birds fun to share :) I wanted to start the year off with a "before and after" LO. I know many people are simple scrappers, but that is certainly not me LOL I can't stop adding stuff until it finally feels "finished" and it usually takes a lot of adding before I get there.

So here is a LO I did...

You can see that it already has a lot of stuff on it, but after looking at it for a little while, I decided I couldn't leave it alone and I needed to do some more stuff to it before I could let it go. I had the perfect solution right at my fingertips - the 3D Embellishment box, of course! The fastest way to add cute, dimensional elements. I also wanted some more color and to fill the white space (I;m not big on white space), so I got my pink Glimmer Mist out and gave a few quick spritzes. If you try this after you already added a pic to the LO, make sure you use a scrap piece of paper to cover the photo. So here's the end result:

I bet some of you might actually prefer the 1st one, but I like the 2nd one better - it fels less "boring", and there's more to look at. I also hope it shows you should never be afraid to do stuff to your LO - if you don't like how it looks, it just means it isn't finished yet. You can keep adding and subtracting stuff until you get it right. Yesterday I made a LO with some leaves on it, and after a while of looking at it, I decided they were the wrong color. So I forcefully ripped them off, glue and all, and added different ones. So I'll leave you with a motivational quote to keep in mind next time you're scrapbooking: "If it isn't right, it isn't finished" :)

Paper: Focus on Fotos
Carsdtock: Straight From The Nest Must Have Cardstock (Jewels)
Die Cut Snowflakes and Purple Swirls: All Dressed Up Again (just cut out the elements you need from the die cut pp)
Stickers: 3D Embellishment Box
Felt and Cloth Flowers: Garden of Flowers
Die Cut Quote: Opposites Attract (Winter)
