These Boots Were Made For Walking!

Hi there! Laura again bringing you another project to hopefully inspire you to use all your amazing 3 Birds products in brand new ways. Here is my recent project

And here is the cast of characters I used to create this project

Must Have Cardstock Paper Stack
Focus On Photos Scrapbook Kit
ABC Rubons
Perfectly Pretty Petals Paper Flower Kit
Bling Goody Box
Super Sticker Nestables Foil and Glitter set
So Many Sentiments Clear Stamp Set

I love how beautifully all the 3 Birds products go together don't you? I love that I can layer my flowers from the Pretty Petals Paper Flower kit for endless possibilities.

Let me tell you how I created my title. It was so easy! I cut out the letters I needed to create my title and rubbed them on the coordinating patterned paper. Then I free hand cut them out giving them just a bit of border edge. A one of a kind title!

Love My Cartridge!

I had so much fun this week playing with my 3Birds Straight from the Nest Cricut Cartridge! There are so many different features on it that I just kept finding more and more neat things to try. I used several different images on this week's layout. I used the word fly for my title and shadowed it in a contrasting color of cardstock. I created a sun out of a flower shape and I double layered two different colored bird images for more pop! I also used adhesive pop dots to have the bird and sun layered over the cloud image that I cut from 3Birds paper. If you get a chance take the time to play with your cartridge and you'll be amazed at all of the different features it has!

Supply list:
Patterned Paper - 3Birds Straight from the Nest and Focus on Photos paper packs
Cardstock - 3Birds Must Have Cardstock
Diecuts - 3Birds Straight from the Nest cricut cartridgeStickers & Rubons - 3Birds Overstuffed Craft Kit and 3Birds Borders, Corners and Frames

Flower Power!

Hi everyone, it's Ilene today! Do you like to use flowers but think the super fancy ones are too expensive? Well, you can give your cost-effective 3Birds flowers some power! LOL On this first LO, I used plain paper flowers and stickled the heck out of them. You can use glitter glue or regular glitter. You can do many other things, including embossing, or using flocking. I think the results speak for themselves! On this first LO I also used Super Sticker Nestables for the circle and for the heart. And you can always embellish your borders and stickers with a little lace. Here, I used May Arts lace - it's the one called ribbon by the yard crochet lace. I cut it in half, which actually means I got 2 yards! And to get the pretty yellow swirls, I simply cut apart the border sticker in the new Super Sticker Nestables - Borders

Supplies:
Super Sticker Nestables (coming to HSN July 19) - That's TODAY!!!
3D Embellishments (coming to HSN July 19)
3Birds Perfectly Pretty Petals
3Birds Bling Goodie Box
Straight from the Nest Paper Pack
Must Have Bits and Pieces

I wanted to share another LO with you today. This one was super easy and quick to make since I used the Focus on Photos paper packs, so all the work was done for me! I used the coordinating 12x12 sheet, slapped on an 8x8 sheet and a 5x7 sheet, a border from the Super Sticker Nestables, and viola! If you take a look at the upper right corner, you'll see a large flower there. I used a flower punch and coordinating cardstock. I didn't want to leave it boring, so I gave my flower some power by using 3Birds So Many Sentiments Stamps :)

Summer Time & The Living Is Easy

Ahhh can't you just feel it! The summer sun on your shoulders, the cold ice tea on your lips. Fun summer activities, vacations, ice cream, watermelon, sprinklers. Such a wonderful time of the year!

3Birds is perfect to document all of your summer time activities! Including, as in my layout, dining al fresco! Living in Colorado doesn't afford us the opportunity to grill and eat outside year round which is why we so look forward to it every year and I wanted to make sure I documented it! Don't forget to document the small things that make you happy. Not just the bigger events in your life!

To create this layout I gathered a bunch of different 3Birds products. Don't hesitate to mix and match your favorite papers and products. They all go together so beautifully! For this particular layout I used:

Sticky Sparkly Shapes Kit - A Play On Words
Must Have Foil Cardstock Stacks
Straight From The Nest Paper Stacks
3Birds Super Sticker Nestables (coming to HSN July 19th)
Overstuffed Craft Kit
Focus On Photos Scrapbook Kit

To create the accordion style flower in the layout simply cut out two 12x1.5 pieces of patterned paper. Score the paper every 1/2 inch and accordion fold back and forth. Adhere the two pieces of paper together, smoosh them together with your fingers and flatten to create. Cut out a smaller circle out of cardstock, slather it up with glue and attach the flattened flower. I used 450 Quick Dry Adhesive by Helmar USA to attach the flower to the circle shaped cardstock. Worked like a charm!

card share

I don't know about you, but we have been so busy this summer. I wanted to just get into my craft room and play this week. I have so many things running through my mind lately as you will see from the variety of my two cards :) My friends had a baby shower for me this week. It color scheme was lavender, which totally inspired this card.

I used cardstock from the Must Have Cardstock Set Pastels. I embossed the lavender cardstock and punched out the circles from the green. I added the flowers from the Perfectly Pretty Petals purple flower set and used one of the green Perfectly Pretty Petal set for the leaves. I just cut it into quarters for the perfect leaves. I added a tound of bling from the Bling Goodie Box for a finishing touch.

For my next card, I had Christmas on my mind. With soon to be 11 children I can't just leave Christmas shopping for the last minute. So I have been thinking about what to buy this year. Which is my inspiration for my next card.

I used cardstock from the Must Have Cardstock Stack. I just loved this snowflake paper from the Opposites Attrack Winter Addition, along with die cut. I punched out snowflakes from more of the Must Have Cardstock and punched the scallops. I added a little bling from the Bling Goodie Box.

3Birds Desk Set!

Good morning everyone! I thought I would share a project I made for my daughter's room with you today. Over the last couple weeks we have been redoing my daughter's bedroom and one of the new pieces of furniture we purchased was a new desk. After looking everywhere, including online, we could not find a girl themed desk set. That's when I came up with the idea to just make her one, and what better products to use then 3Birds! I was able to customize it to perfectly match the colors and fun look of her new room & she just loves it!

I simply used cardboard as the base for the desk mat & covered it in 3Birds paper from the Focus on Photos stack and added some thick offray ribbon to the ends. I only glued down the top and bottom of the ribbon so that she can stick papers under the ribbons.

For the desk box I actually used the box that the new 3Birds 3D embellishments are packaged in (coming to HSN July 19th!). It was perfect! I just covered the words on top with a piece of self adhesive patterned paper from the Straight from the Nest paper pack and then added the beautiful 3D embellishment stickers-the bird on the branch & the flower. And then I used the Stickly Sparkly letters and added her initials. How cute is this!

For the pencil container I used an old snack can and covered it in the same Focus on Photos paper and added the offray ribbon, a flower from the Perfectly Pretty Petals from 3Birds, a butterfly sticker from the new 3D embellishments, and a rhinestone from the Bling Goodie Box.

For all three pieces it only took me about 45 minutes & we both love the end result!

Who needs flowers, right?

Hi everyone, it's Ilene , here to share a masculine LO with you! The new Straight From The Nest pp pack has wonderful variety in it, and some of the pp is perfect for all your dad/guy LO's. This one is of my wonderful DH - I started dating him 14 years ago. I loved the greens and browns here. This photo was taken in the Spring and I was happy to find pp that matched the photos without being "Fall" pp. I did a lot of distressing here to create a slightly more rugged, masculine feel. In fact, I think I made it masculine enough to pull off adding a little bling and flowers...I just couldn't help myself!
