Any Day Is A Good Day...

To create!!! And create away you can with all the amazing products from 3 Birds!!!

3 Birds just came out with some amazing new products and one of those newer products I used on this layout

See the super cute banner! Yeah!!! It came from the new Tweet Trimmings pack. So cute and guess what?!?!? There are two of them in the pack!!! The other banner has different colors so you have twice as much variety!

All the patterned papers came from the Focus On Photos Scrapbook Kit, a kit I go back to over and over again because I love it so! Alphabet stickers came from the Over Stuffed 10,000 piece rub on and sticker set (yes I said 10,000!). And the fabric flower came from the newly released Garden of Flowers 8 pack Fabric and Felt kit. 8 different packages of fabric and felt flowers and leaves in every color combination possible!

How About A Little Bit Of Summer?

Since so much of us is overwhelmed with a ton of snow in our neck of the woods I thought I'd bring back a little bit of summer so that we can all relive the nostalgia of warmer days and remember that this cold weather will pass and warmer days will come again soon!

For this layout I used a bunch of different 3 Birds products. Mixing and matching of products is ok in my book and it should be for you too! Feel free to experiment, you'll love the results!

Here's my materials list:

Must Have Textured Cardstock
3D Sticker Embellishment Kit
Garden of Flowers Felt and Fabric Kit
Sparkly Shapes Kit
Focus On Photos Scrapbook Kit
Paper trails Die Cut Cardstock Borders

To create the arrow shaped banner is really easy! Sometimes we love a certain embellishment but feel that the colors don't quite match. I simply turned the Border Strip over to reveal the white side and inked it using my favorite dye ink. Voila, an instant, one of a kind embellishment that works perfectly with my color palette!

Oh The Weather Outside Is Frightful...

Good morning blog readers! Laura here to show you a fun and quick layout you can create using all of your winter photos.

I used the Opposites Attract kit to create this layout and for fun I made a one of a kind accent using the brand new All Dressed Up Again kit.

Here's my project

To create the background accent I used the die cut from the All Dressed Up kit as a template and sprayed a mist spray. I really liked the shape of the die cut so I used part of it as an accent and moved it slightly to the side to give it a 3-D look. You want to know a secret? I used the white backside of the die cut rather than the front side that had the color. Feel free to use the back side of any of your accents to create the look, color or feel that you want for your projects!

Even Ghosts Can Be Welcoming

Today I want to show you a quick and fun project you can whip up in an evening to help all those little ones feel welcome to your door on Sunday night.

I created this banner using the 3 Birds On Parade Cricut cartridge and Must Have Cardstock Paper Pack. I also used some fun ribbon and string that I already had on hand and a fine tip black pen to outline the edges of each cutout.

To create the "welcome" letters I used both the font and the font shadow features on the cartridge to give the letters depth and dimension.

If you own a Cricut you will definitely want to pick up this cartridge as well as the other cartridge available Straight From The Nest . They are both definitely must haves and have so much versatility and usage. You will find yourself grabbing them more and more as you continue to discover all that is available on them. I know I am!

Taking Crafting Off The Page

Hello! Today I want to show you a fun and cute accent you can make using the brand new Garden Of Flowers 8-Pack Fabric and Felt kit.

I love all the variety that this new kit gives! Different colors, sizes and shapes - the combination's are limitless! I create this accent to use as a hair clip for my daughter, but really you can use the same idea for your cards or a super cute accent for your layouts.

Here is how I created these hair clips.

First I assembled all my layers. Like I said there is so much variety of shape and color. I chose to use 4 layers. You can do more, or less, whichever you prefer.

I then glued all the layers together using 450 Quick Dry Adhesive by Helmar USA. I love using that adhesive because it dries super fast and is acid free.

Here is my final assembled pieces. I again then used the 450 Quick Dry adhesive to glue the fabric to a hair clip.

Here is the final project in my daughter's hair. A one of a kind hair clip that she can wear for all occasions!

So there you have it! We'd love to see what fun projects you come up with using the new Garden Of Flowers 8-Pack Fabric and Felt kit.

These Boots Were Made For Walking!

Hi there! Laura again bringing you another project to hopefully inspire you to use all your amazing 3 Birds products in brand new ways. Here is my recent project

And here is the cast of characters I used to create this project

Must Have Cardstock Paper Stack
Focus On Photos Scrapbook Kit
ABC Rubons
Perfectly Pretty Petals Paper Flower Kit
Bling Goody Box
Super Sticker Nestables Foil and Glitter set
So Many Sentiments Clear Stamp Set

I love how beautifully all the 3 Birds products go together don't you? I love that I can layer my flowers from the Pretty Petals Paper Flower kit for endless possibilities.

Let me tell you how I created my title. It was so easy! I cut out the letters I needed to create my title and rubbed them on the coordinating patterned paper. Then I free hand cut them out giving them just a bit of border edge. A one of a kind title!

Summer Time & The Living Is Easy

Ahhh can't you just feel it! The summer sun on your shoulders, the cold ice tea on your lips. Fun summer activities, vacations, ice cream, watermelon, sprinklers. Such a wonderful time of the year!

3Birds is perfect to document all of your summer time activities! Including, as in my layout, dining al fresco! Living in Colorado doesn't afford us the opportunity to grill and eat outside year round which is why we so look forward to it every year and I wanted to make sure I documented it! Don't forget to document the small things that make you happy. Not just the bigger events in your life!

To create this layout I gathered a bunch of different 3Birds products. Don't hesitate to mix and match your favorite papers and products. They all go together so beautifully! For this particular layout I used:

Sticky Sparkly Shapes Kit - A Play On Words
Must Have Foil Cardstock Stacks
Straight From The Nest Paper Stacks
3Birds Super Sticker Nestables (coming to HSN July 19th)
Overstuffed Craft Kit
Focus On Photos Scrapbook Kit

To create the accordion style flower in the layout simply cut out two 12x1.5 pieces of patterned paper. Score the paper every 1/2 inch and accordion fold back and forth. Adhere the two pieces of paper together, smoosh them together with your fingers and flatten to create. Cut out a smaller circle out of cardstock, slather it up with glue and attach the flattened flower. I used 450 Quick Dry Adhesive by Helmar USA to attach the flower to the circle shaped cardstock. Worked like a charm!

Go Create!!!

Go on...you know you want to! How can you not be sooooo inspired by the many projects for you to look upon recently here on the blog?!?!

It's me again, Laura, coming at you sharing another layout featuring a ton of super cool and super cute 3 Birds products. I want to show you some different ideas to give you "mileage" on your projects and hopefully show you some new ways to use your favorite 3 Birds products. Are you ready? Here we go!

First of all here is my cast of 3 Birds characters -
Must Have Cardstock Paper Pack
Straight From The Nest Paper Stack
Cricut Straight From The Nest Cartridge

I want you to notice here that I changed up a couple of different patterned papers from the Straight From The Nest Paper Stack. First off I cut out the scalloped circle and adhered it to a different background patterned paper. I wanted to have my circle be off centered and cutting it out gave me that option.

Secondly I love clouds :-) So I cut out some clouds from a piece of paper from the Straight From The Nest Paper Stack and use them on my project. To give them dimension I used Zap Dots by Helmar USA. I mentioned before how much I love dimension in my projects and here you can see it again.

I had so much fun playing with the Straight From The Nest Cricut cartridge. I used it to make this adorable bird accent and to create my title. There was a swirl attached to the title so I altered it by removing the swirl in this project.

Make your project your own! Rip it, ink it, use your sewing machine, punch out elements, re purpose your supplies. Have fun with it! You'll be glad you did!

Making Your Pages Sparkle

Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm so excited to share with you some of the wonderful things you can do with 3 Birds Design products! My goal is to give you an "aha moment" when you see my projects that you can take with you and inspire you to recreate on your own projects! If and when you create a project using inspiration from mine or any other of the design team members designs please link it in the comment section! We'd love to see what you're creating!!!

This is my first project I created using Must Have Cardstock Stack, Straight From The Nest Paper Stacks, Sticky Sparkly A Play On Words, Perfectly Pretty Petals Paper Flower Kit, Must Have Foil Cardstock Stack, and the Bling Goodie Box.

One thing I love about 3 Birds products is how well and cohesively all the products work together! Let me show you some little added touches I created to make my project, and yours too, one of a kind and unique!

First of all pull out those paper punches! You can create beautiful touches to your projects with a simple punch pattern. I used a border punch, flower punch and a butterfly punch to create accents on my layout.

Secondly don't be afraid to layer! Layer those gorgeous flowers from the flower kit for extra color and dimension. Punch out several of the same shapes and layer them! I also pulled out my crimper and created extra texture on the accents. I also folded the flower petals for extra dimension! Add buttons and string and voila!

To help keep the accents securely fastened, I grabbed my favorite liquid glue 450 Quick Dry Adhesive by Helmar USA. 450 Quick Dry is just that, quick drying and acid free!

Banners are hot right now in paper crafting and you can recreate it to for your projects! 3 Birds has an amazing cricut cart out entitled Straight From The Nest that has an amazing banner that you can cut out using any of your 3 Birds cardstock, foil stacks or patterned papers. To give the banner added dimension and height I used Zap Dots by Helmar USA. I'm big into dimension....I think you'll see that more and more in upcoming projects!

Well there you go! I hope and trust you were inspired by what I brought to you today!
