Fun Spring Colors!

With the weather around here going from cold and snowy to windy and rainy, I was in the mood for a bright layout with a spring feel. I chose some cheery green, orange, and pink patterned papers from the 3birds Straight from the Nest and Focus on Photos paper packs. I just loved the tree paper and the tree embellie from the 3-d embellishment sticker kit was the perfect accent. I added some coordinating stickers from the Tag Your It! from 3birds and some fun accents to give it some texture. After adding some stitching around the edges I had my spring layout! Now if it would just actually be Spring!

And I'm sure if you have young kids at home, you're in the same boat - there is a conveyor belt of kid birthday parties to attend and I can never stock up on enough cards for those! So I decided to make some more, and I can't begin to tell you how easy these are - if you gather your supplies it should only take a few minutes each.

Tweet Trimmings!

Ok, I am totally in love with the new product from 3birds, Tweet Trimmings! I was so excited when I opened these up and each one was prettier then the one before it. As soon as I saw this peacock, from the Tweet Trimmings, I knew what picture would look fabulous with it. This photo of my niece had the exact colors as the peacock and is such a fun picture that I new it would go together perfectly! I added some touches of stickles to accent the peacock and title and am so happy with the way it came out, it just might be one of my new favorite layouts!

Hip Chick supply list:

stickles

Got a bad pic to scrap?

Sure, it's nice when you have gorgeous pics to scrap...but what about when you have a memory you want to document, but alas, no good pics to go with it? I had that problem when it came to scrapping our New Year's - DS would NOT cooperate! We had many out-takes...and never did get that one great pic. DS's lack of cooperation combined with bad lighting...well, this was the result. So I decided to just scrap them all! And throw a humorous title in, just to pull it all together. Here is the resulting LO, "How Hard Can It Be?" How hard can it be to get one good pic? Sometimes impossible :)
